Heather T. Sachs MS RD CDN

Heather T. Sachs is a Registered Dietitian with a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. Heather also holds bachelors degree in marketing from The George Washington University in Washington DC. Prior to returning to graduate school to pursue a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and become a Registered Dietitian, Heather was a senior media director at Greater Than One, Inc, an interactive advertising agency specializing in healthcare marketing. Working to develop The Novartis Keeping Well with Diabetes community (www.kwwd.com) enhanced Heather’s desire to teach healthy lifestyle and eating habits, as well as educate people about their therapeutic diets.
Heather is the Nutrition Manager for a large popular beverage company based out of New York. Heather works the research and development of new products, clinical trial development, and handles in-house nutritional matters. Prior to being a Nutrition Manager, Heather worked as a consultant for Wellness Concepts, a national corporate wellness company based in New York City. As a consultant, Heather provided individual counseling, monthly Nutrition Awareness Days at Fortune 500 companies, and nutrition workshops which educate attendees on various topics related to healthy nutrition. Heather has also served as a nutritional consultant for the New York Knicks City Dancers.
In her private practice Heather runs nutrition workshops on topics such as healthy eating and, body image. Heather has also worked with Equinox Fitness Clubs in Manhattan as a guest dietitian during their Member Appreciation Days. Heather has also provided nutrition workshops for Equinox trainers. In addition providing nutritional counseling, developing individualized nutritional programs and attainable goals for her clients, Heather provides services such as supermarket tours, cooking demonstrations and pantry makeovers.
Prior to completing her Dietetic Internship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, Heather was the Site Coordinator for CookShop, a culinary nutrition education program run by FoodChange (formerly Community Food Resource Center) which provides education to students in elementary school about the benefits of eating vegetables through interactive lessons.
As a member of the American Dietetic Association and Greater New York Dietetic Association, Heather is an active participant in the nutrition community. Heather also served as the lead researcher for a study examining the nutritional quality of patients living with dentofacial deformities.
